What is FOOD BOWL?
Chicago Tribune FOOD BOWL (August 8 to 26) is a three-week celebration of Chicago’s extraordinary food and drink scene, comprised of 100+ unique events that highlight the creativity and innovation of our city’s restaurants, chefs and mixologists.

Where is the festival?
The 100+ events take place throughout the city. Explore our event program to see what might peak your interest in a new neighborhood or find a way to explore an old favorite right next door. The festival will culminate with a three-day Night Market from August 24 to 26 on the Lakefront Green at Theater on the Lake.

How much are tickets?
Tickets and reservation processes vary by event. Several events are free, while some range to accommodate higher end experiences. Whatever your preference may be, be sure to check out the event details and purchase your tickets or call the venue for reservations soon! Due to the custom and innovative nature of many of our events, capacity may be limited. Night Market will have a suggested $5 donation for entry to support our charitable partners, Pilot Light, The Trotter Project and Green City Market.

Are there any events for kids?
Yes. Thanks in large part to our charitable partners, Green City Market and Pilot Light, there are a number of events for kids and families. Check out our event program for details.
